We Are Fully Committed To Implement New National Minimum Wage In Adamawa Gov Fintiri Tells NLC

The Adamawa State Government is willing to implement the new minimum wage as the Governor reiterated the government’s commitment to implement any figure unanimously agreed upon as new national minimum wage for the workers.

While speaking at the workers day  celebration in Yola on Wednesday 1st  May 2024, Governor Fintiri stated that his  government is keenly following development on the new national minimum way.

“We are fully committed to implementing whatever figure that is eventually agreed upon,” Fintiri said.

The Governor who was represented by his deputy Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, noted that the government has released N3 billion for the payment of gratuity to the retirees in the state.

In solidarity,the state chairman of The Nigerian Labour Congress Comrade Emmanuel Fashe decries the degrading  standard of Living in Nigeria as he complained bitterly on the hash policies such as the subsidy removal, hike in electricity tariff, naira floating, among others.

While Speaking at the workers day occasion, Comrade Fashe however, commended governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for giving Adamawa a new face lift through various development projects spread across the 21 local government areas, and his timely palliative interventions to workers as well as masses to cushion the current hardship.

He also sought three months arrears of consequential adjustment of the current new national minimum wage, review of civil service rules.

Adamawa workers in a short chat with the press calls on the government to see through the thorough hardship and adhere to all the plight outlined by the Adamawa State  NLC Chairman Comrade Emmanuel Fashe.
