Adamawa State Police Command as part of its efforts to enhance its capacity to deliver policing services more efficiently,The Command has conducted general training for its personnel from various divisions and formations in the state.
The training which was scheduled and concluded at Various Area Commands was on Police General Duties, Ethics of Policing, Inter-Agency Collaboration, Police and the public, How to Handle Military offenders, Use of firearms, Social Media Policy Act(2020),Code of Conduct:Extortions & Corrupt practices amongst others.
The command public relations officer SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje in a press statement stated that the training was a follow-up to the directives of the Inspector General of Police IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD,NPM,
The purpose of it is to equip the officers with knowledge and skills on crime prevention strategy and Standard Operational procedures (SOP) and how to swiftly respond to Distress calls in case of emergency.
The Adamawa State Commissioner of Police, who was rightly represented by Deputy Commissioner of Police, In charge of Operations DCP Olubunmi Olubode Fakeye, held several meetings with strategic [Commanders and security actors on the ability to deliver quality Service to the Populace.
The CP Morris warned the officers against engaging in extortion, corrupt practices, incivility to members of the public, and other unprofessional conducts/behaviours that may result in human rights violations.
