The Adamawa State Commissioner of Police , CP Dankombo Morris has solicited the support of cooperation of traditional leaders to ensure security of lives and property in the state.
Dankombo made the call when he lead his team to palace of the district head of Sarua and Belel district head in Mahia Local Government Area of the state.
He stressed that Adamawa can be free from crime when there is synergy between the police and the community heads as he applauds the districts head for always assisting the police with relevant information.
According to him, crime cannot be easily eradicated without the help of community leaders.
In response, Alh Ardo Umaru, district head expressed his gratitude to the police and assured for their contributions as security issues is for everyone.
According to him, the police and other sister security agencies has been securing their community making their community as one of the peaceful place.
Ndikwa Djawa Roger the divisional officer of Buchie from the Republic of Cameron appreciates the Nigeria Police for their timeless collaboration with the Cameron Police.
He also applauds the commissioner of police for taking his time to visit the border as he promises more collaboration with the Nigeria Police.
The DPO of the decision on his part also applauded the community leaders, vigilante and hunters as he stated that the community heads has assisted the police in several way to eliminate crime at the Mahia axist.
Highlight from the event are the distribution of awards by the commissioner of police to the traditional leaders, display of cultural dance and the district heads in return extended gifts to the Police Commissioner.
