Gov. Fintiri reaffirms commitment to peace in Adamawa

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, of Adamawa state, has pledged to sustain peace, unity, and development across State, assuring the people of the Bwatiye Kingdom of his administration’s dedication to their welfare.
The governor made the commitment during a courtesy visit by the Pene Da Bwatiye Association at the Banquet Hall of the Government House in Yola.
Expressing his gratitude to the Bwatiye people for their visit, Governor Fintiri highlighted his administration’s focus on fostering unity, improving infrastructure, and enhancing education across the state.
He emphasized the importance of ensuring the security of lives and property, noting that his government is implementing transparent and digitally transformative policies accessible via the Adamawa government’s official website.
“We will continue to promote peace and unity while addressing critical issues affecting our people. I urge all residents of Adamawa to embrace peace and disregard unnecessary criticism,” Fintiri stated.
In response, Chief James Iliya, President of the Pene Da Bwatiye Association, commended Governor Fintiri’s administration for its inclusive governance and developmental strides.
He acknowledged the governor’s efforts in appointing members of the Bwatiye community to significant positions, including the Deputy Governor, Commissioners, and Permanent Secretaries.
Hama Bachama, Daniel Ismaila Shaga (OON), also expressed appreciation for the governor’s support for the Bwatiye Kingdom, noting the opportunities provided to its sons and daughters to contribute to the state’s development.
He reiterated the loyalty of the Bwatiye people to the governor’s administration while calling for enhanced measures to address farmers-herders clashes in the region.
The visit, as observed by our reporter, underscored the strong partnership between the Bwatiye Kingdom and the Fintiri-led government, as both parties expressed commitment to fostering peace and development in Adamawa State.
