Adamawa govt, partners to enhance healthcare service at LG level

Adamawa Government in partnership with United Nations Children Funds UNICEF and United Nation Population Funds has geared to enhances Primary Healthcare Services Operationalization of LGA taskforce.

Speaking at the stakeholders meeting, Dr Felix Tangwami, Commissioner Ministry of health and human services said, the timely meetings is crucial for improving healthcare outcomes.

The Commissioner who was represented by his Permanent Secretary, Pharmacist Matthias Zirra Bubanani, said, the State Government has made significant strides in primary healthcare, recognizing its importance in ensuring the well-being of citizens.

Dr. Sulaiman Saidu Bashir, Executive chairman State Primary Healthcare Development Agency (SPHCDA) said, recently, the Agency received an award for excellence in water supply at primary healthcare facilities.

He the achievement demonstrates the government’s commitment to prioritizing healthcare,

He stressed that the objective of the meeting is to share situations of the reproductive and adolescent health in the state key challenges and opportunities for implications, enhance understanding of LGHA task force leadership on composition, roles, responsibilities and programme priorities.

“And discuss and agree on mechanisms for monitoring progress, evaluating performance, and ensuring effective PHC implementation at LGA among other key objectives.

According to him, Gov. Fintiri administration prioritizes healthcare, ensuring quality services at the grassroots level.

In view the expected outcome from the workshop the ALGON Chairman and representative express satisfaction with orientation and readiness to collaborate strategically with all stakeholders for effective service delivery.

The pragmatic approach brought together the 21 LGA chairmen, PHC Executive Secretaries, directors and other critical stakeholders to a 2 days workshop.
