Adamawa Police Command Tightens Security Ahead of Emir of Fufore’s Coronation

The Adamawa State Police Command has announced comprehensive security measures to ensure a peaceful and orderly coronation of His Royal Highness, Alhaji Sani Ahmadu Ribadu, the Emir of Fufore.

In a statement made available to media men in Yola, on Wednesday by the command, the Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, announced that reasonable numbers of police in collaboration with sister security agencies have been deployed to ensure hitch free exercise before, during, and after the ceremony.

“As part of the arrangements, the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Department of Operations, along with the supervising Area Commander of Karewa, has been tasked with coordinating security deployment at key locations where dignitaries and VIPs will be hosted.

Security reinforcements include armed police officers stationed at critical locations such as Yola International Airport and major roads leading to Fufore.

Traffic control officers have also been strategically positioned to ensure smooth vehicular movement and prevent congestion around the Emir’s palace and surrounding areas.” The statement read.

In addition, the Police Anti-Bomb Squad, according to the command, has been deployed to scan and secure the coronation venue against potential security threats.

“Tactical teams and patrol units will also be stationed along major highways to prevent disruptions and ensure the safety of attendees.”

Apart from the above measures, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), were said to have been directed to reinforce security at government establishments and residential areas.
