NYSC DG, LCCN Archbishop Commend 23 Brigade Commander for Strengthening Security in Adamawa

The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed, on Monday, February 10, 2025, visited the Commander of 23 Brigade, Brigadier General Paul Zawaya, at the Brigade Headquarters in Jimeta-Yola, where he lauded the military’s role in maintaining peace and stability in Adamawa State.
During the visit, Brigadier General Zawaya praised the NYSC for its continued contributions to national unity and social cohesion. He commended Brigadier General Ahmed for his leadership in advancing the scheme and urged him to sustain its successes.
In his response, the NYSC DG expressed deep appreciation for the Brigade’s unwavering support of the corps in Adamawa.
He highlighted Brigadier General Zawaya’s leadership as instrumental in fostering security in the state, describing him as a model of exemplary leadership.

ed that his visit was part of a nationwide tour of NYSC camps, aimed at strengthening collaboration between the scheme and the military.
In a related development, the Archbishop of the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria (LCCN), Most Reverend Musa Panti Filibus, also visited the Brigade Headquarters.
He commended the troops for their dedication to protecting lives and property and expressed gratitude for the military’s ongoing support of faith-based institutions, emphasizing the strong partnership between the Church and the armed forces.
Both visits, as noticed by our reporter, concluded with the signing of the visitors’ book, the exchange of souvenirs, and group photographs, symbolizing mutual respect and cooperation between the Brigade and its distinguished guests.
