Police Arrest Three for Vandalizing Electrical Cables in Michika

Michika, Adamawa State – March 10, 2025
The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested three suspects for allegedly vandalizing and stealing electrical cables in Bororo Village, Michika Local Government Area.
According to a statement by the Command’s spokesperson, Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje the arrests were made on March 9, 2025 by a surveillance team from the Michika Divisional Police Headquarters during a routine patrol.
The suspects have been identified as Emmanuel John, 34, Habila Kwaji, 22, and Mohammed Garba, 28. Police reports confirm that the trio was found in possession of stolen electrical power cables.
During a preliminary investigation,the command announced that, the suspects allegedly confessed to the crime and remain in custody as further inquiries continue.
The Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, commended the officers involved in the operation and reiterated his stance against vandalism of public infrastructure.
He urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
“The Adamawa State Police Command remains committed to protecting public property and ensuring that perpetrators of such crimes face justice,” Morris stated.
The suspects, as made known in the statement, will face prosecution upon the completion of the investigation, the statement confirmed.
