Veteran Vendor Reflects on 50 Years in Newspaper Business, Calls for Government Support

Haruna Saidu, a veteran newspaper vendor in Adamawa State, has described his over 50-year career in the business as both fulfilling and credible.
In an exclusive interview, Saidu shared how his dedication to the trade has allowed him to build houses, educate his children, and provide for his family.
Saidu, who has been consistently delivering newspapers across the state for more than four decades, emphasized the role of diligence and consistency in achieving long-term success.
His journey, he said, is a testament to what can be achieved through hard work and perseverance.
Currently serving as the chairman of the Newspaper Vendors Association in Adamawa, Saidu used the opportunity to call on the government to pay more attention to the welfare of vendors across the state.
He appealed for intervention and support, highlighting the challenges faced by members of the profession.
