Police Notifies Adamawa Residents on Shooting Range Exercise

The Adamawa State Police Command has announced that it will be conducting a one-day shooting range exercise for its Special Protection Unit (SPU) operatives on Saturday, July 27, 2025, at the Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU) Base along Mubi Road in Girei Local Government Area.
According to a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the training will take place between 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., and is part of routine operational preparedness.
The Command has advised residents, particularly those living around Nas Radio Station, Sangere FUTY, and Federal Housing Hayin Gada, to steer clear of the training area and not to panic over the sound of gunfire during the exercise.
The Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, extended his appreciation to the public for their cooperation, understanding, and ongoing support.
He reassured residents of the Command’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property across the state.
