Ribadu Community Leaders Applaud NSA Nuhu Ribadu for Transformational Projects

By Ojoma Yusuf,Yola

Community leaders in Ribadu, Adamawa State, have lauded Nigeria’s National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, for initiating and attracting impactful development projects that are reshaping the long-neglected agrarian area.

For decades, the Ribadu community endured poor infrastructure, lack of potable water, limited access to healthcare, and other basic amenities—despite its notable contributions to Nigeria’s agricultural and livestock sectors. However, recent interventions spearheaded by the NSA have sparked a wave of optimism and gratitude among residents.

The commendations were made during a birthday celebration held for the Organizing Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, Mustapha Atiku Ribadu. The event, which took place in Dasin Hausa, brought together traditional rulers, political leaders, and residents who praised the positive changes taking place in the region.

Traditional ruler of Dasin Hausa, Alhaji Shitu Ahmadu (Jauro Dasin), described Ribadu’s impact as “transformational,” crediting him with bringing unprecedented development to the area.

“The coming of Mallam Nuhu Ribadu is the greatest thing to happen to this area. He has turned a forgotten community into a model of good governance,” he said.

“Through his efforts, we now have road construction projects, industrial boreholes, new schools, and empowerment programs for farmers, youth, and women—things we never dreamed would happen here.”

Echoing the sentiments, the Waziri of Ribadu, Alhaji Yahya Buba, commended the NSA for not only playing a vital national role in security but also for ensuring his hometown benefits from federal attention.

“Mallam Nuhu Ribadu has not disappointed us. His commitment to both national service and his community is inspiring,” he stated.
“We are grateful to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for enabling such interventions, and we pledge our continued support to his administration.”

APC Organizing Secretary Mustapha Atiku Ribadu also highlighted key projects facilitated under the current administration, including the federal approval for the over 60km Yola-Gurin road and the Fufore–Ribadu–Dasin Hausa highway. Other projects include a state-of-the-art ICT centre, industrial boreholes, and various empowerment initiatives targeting farmers, youths, and women.

Marking his 46th birthday, Mustapha Ribadu donated ₦10,000 each to 400 youths and women in the community as a gesture of gratitude and support.

“We are seeing the dividends of democracy first-hand, and it is only right that we stand firmly behind the Tinubu administration,” he said.

The event concluded with a strong call from community leaders and stakeholders for continued support of federal government programs, ensuring sustained development and more life-changing projects for Ribadu and its environs.
