Police Intensify Security in Shelleng After Attacks on Cattle Rearers

The Adamawa State Police Command has stepped up security operations in Kiri and Wuro Yanka villages of Shelleng Local Government Area following a series of violent attacks on cattle rearers.
The renewed action comes after reports revealed that suspected criminals ambushed herders on separate occasions, killing and injuring several livestock.
Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, in response to the incidents, ordered the deployment of additional operational personnel to the affected areas.
He directed the officers to act with speed, professionalism, and precision to prevent further criminal activities.
“The Command remains fully committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens,” CP Morris said, stressing that intelligence-led policing will play a critical role in for stalling future attacks.
He further urged residents to work closely with security agencies by providing timely and credible information that can aid in crime prevention and prompt response.
According to information gathered by our correspondent, the measure is part of wider efforts by the Adamawa State Police Command to enhance internal security and sustain peace in vulnerable border communities.
