Adamawa Police Rescue Kidnapped Man in Girei

The Adamawa State Police Command has rescued a kidnapped man, Abdullahi Usman, after responding swiftly to a distress call in Girei Local Government Area.
In a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the operation took place on Thursday, November 6, 2025, following a report from a resident, Adamu Shugaba, who heard groaning sounds from an uncompleted building in Jabbore, Viniklang.
Police officers who arrived at the scene discovered the victim tied up with pieces of cloth on his hands and legs. The Divisional Police Officer of Viniklang led the rescue team, and Usman was immediately taken to a hospital for medical examination, where he was confirmed unhurt.
Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, praised the officers for their quick and effective response, directing the command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit to take over the case and ensure the arrest of the suspects behind the abduction.
Morris also urged residents to remain watchful and report any suspicious persons or movements to the nearest police station to assist in the ongoing fight against crime in the state.
