Adamawa State Police Command has successfully arrested four suspected kidnappers aged between 20-33 years while attempting to kidnap one Jao Wakili of Lainde Chitta, Toungo local government Area of Adamawa State.
Those arrested include Iliya Isa 24years, Bello Umar 25years, Nuhu Umar 20years, Usman Yahya 33years, all residents of Lainde Chitta village, Toungo Local government.
Items recovered are two Single Barrel Guns, Two handsets, Charms among Others.
Meanwhile the command’s public relations officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje stated that arrest was made in partnership with Pulaku Association following an information received about the organized crime from a good Samaritan.
He said they were arrested at the point of implementing their organized crime.
The statement reads in part: “on the 23/3/2023, the Command Operatives attached to Toungo Divisional police Headquarters in sustained effort with Pulaku Association foiled an organized Crime to kidnap One Jao Wakili of Lainde Chitta, Toungo local government Area.
“The outcome of these successes follows a reliable information received about the organized crime from a good Samaritan.
“Investigation so far, reveals that one of the suspects Usman Yahya is a Hunter and he supplied the two Single Barrels guns to be used in facilitating the crime”.
