
The Adamawa state Chief Judge, Justice Hafsat Abdulrahman has administered an oath of office on Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of the of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Prof Geroge Farauta as Governor and Deputy Governor of the state.
The ceremony which took place at the Mahmud Ribadu Square is under tight security and heavy surveillance to forestall any unforeseen security breach.Fintiri took the oath of office for a second term as Governor, while Prof Kaletapwa George Farauta was sworn in as first female deputy Governor.
In his inaugural speech, Governor Fintiri started that his administration will focus on security, education, health, infrastructure, urban mass transportation, urban water supply, agriculture and environment.
He appreciated the electorates for re-electing him for second term, said his first term has laid the foundation for the attainment of the policy aimed at making Adamawa State to wax stronger for the benefit of the citizens.
Meanwhile, he promised continue to serve the citizens with humility and devotion as well appropriate the resources to improve their living condition.
