The Adamawa State Police Command in a sustained fight against Violence crimes has made significant strides in combating the illegal activity of violence against Humanity in the state.
The police command on 24th April, 2024, with a combined efforts of police and critical Stakeholders had apprehended 2 individuals for the Offences of Criminal Conspiracy, Culpable Homicide punishable with death, Armed Robbery amongst others
The suspect Umar Faruq, 25 yrs of resident of Rumde Baru, Yola North local Government and Al Amin Adamu , 25yrs a resident of Samu naka, Yola South Local government, Boarded a Commercial vehicle from Jalingo Taraba State to Yola Adamawa State. On reaching a certain place in-between Mayo-Belwa and Ngurore town, they used a knife and stabbed the Driver Muhammed Suleiman on his neck, leaving him with a deep cut and robbing him of his vehicle.
The command public relations officer,SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje unveiled in a press statement that the immediate response from the Police and thorough investigations so far conducted, led to the arrest of the perpetrators after they had a fatal accident few kilometers away the that claimed the life of one of the suspects.
The Commissioner of Police Adamawa State Police Command,CP Dankombo Morris Falling while commending the effort and dedication demonstrated by the DPO Ngurore.The CP also applauded the good the Samaritan for their timely response to distress calls that led to their arrest of the suspects as he assures the good people of Adamawa State that the suspects would be prosecuted rightly according to the law.
