Nigerian Army’s 23 Brigade to Conduct Live-Fire Training in Yola

The Headquarters 23 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Yola, has announced that it will conduct its First Quarter Range Classification Exercise for 2025 on Monday, March 17, and Tuesday, March 18. The exercise will take place at the Mayo-Inne shooting range in the Malkohi general area.
In a statement issued in Yola, the Acting Assistant Director of Army Public Relations, Lt. Adebayo Samuel Adewumi, explained that the training is designed to enhance the shooting proficiency of military personnel.
The exercise, according to the statement, will involve the use of live ammunition, and residents in the area have been advised not to panic upon hearing gunfire.
The brigade has also urged the public to stay away from the Mayo-Inne shooting range throughout the exercise period. Furthermore, activities such as hunting and livestock rearing in the vicinity have been suspended until the conclusion of the training.
The Army has called on media outlets to help inform the public about the exercise and ensure cooperation.
