Fintiri Disowns PDP Moves to Expel FCT Minister Wike

Adamawa State Governor and Chairman of the PDP 2025 Elective National Convention, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has publicly distanced himself from moves within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to expel the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.

In a weekend statement issued through his Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, the governor made it clear that he does not support the proposed expulsion, warning that such action is not in the best interest of the party and could deepen existing internal rifts.

“As a faithful party member, my position is clear: I stand for the peace and stability of the PDP, and I will not support anything that could lead to its disintegration. I believe that peace and reconciliation are the only ways forward for our great party,” Fintiri stated.

He urged party stakeholders at all levels to focus on unity and take deliberate steps to address internal grievances rather than escalate tensions. According to him, genuine loyalty to the PDP requires a commitment to initiatives that strengthen harmony, cohesion, and collective progress.

The governor reiterated that his position is anchored on the desire to rebuild trust and stability within the party, affirming his commitment to championing peace and reconciliation as the PDP navigates its internal challenges.
