Kogi Transformation:Kogi Wears New Look, As President Mohammadu Buhari visit

Kogi wears new look as it  receives  President Mohammadu Buhari for  Commissioning of some legacy projects in the state.

The Ganaja flyover bridge, GYB Model Science Secondary School, Muhammadu Buhari Civic Centre, the newly built Ohinoyi’s Palace and the Okene Reference Hospital are already wearing new look as the president Buhari visit to commission the numerous  projects.

Some roads within the State Capital, Okene, Idah township roads have been blocked from vehicular movement as part of protocols to welcome President Muhammadu Buhari to Okene Local Government for the Commissioning of  some legacy projects by the Governor Yahaya Bello administration on Thursday.

The road blockage in Okene is contained in a statement signed by Abdulmumin Abubakar, Special Adviser to the Chairman, (Media & Publicity) a copy of which was made available to The Reporters in Lokoja on Wednesday.

According to the Chairman’s aide, the blockade will affect Obehira Junction along Okengwe road, Agassa roundabout, Junction around Dabras hotel, Obangede junction along Ogaminana road and Check-point junction along Auchi-Ajaokuta road, beginning from 7a.m Thursday, 29th December, 2022

However, those on essential duties, invited royal fathers and guests, party supporters, government functionaries and the general public are expected to arrive Okene town before 7:00am.

According to the statement, “Invited royal fathers will assemble at the office of the Chairman, Okene Local Government for onward movement to the newly constructed palace while the good people of Ebiraland will gather at the Local Government Secretariat to give Mr President a resounding welcome.

“The restriction will also affect Okene main market as it is expected to be closed for business within the period of President’s visit. These arrangements have already been discussed with the TRADERS ASSOCIATION, NURTW, KEKE NAPEP & MOTORCYCLE UNIONS.

Government urge the people to adhere strictly to these restrictions as they commend the major stakeholders for their show of understanding,” he said.

President Buhari loudly appluads the GYB administration for a job well done, stating that the state has been completely transformed and that he is proud of the GYB Administration
