20 year old Garga Joggi, has been arrested by the Adamawa State Police Command for allegedly stabbing a man identified as Umaru Sanda to death.
Joggi, of Waltadi community in Song Local Government Area, allegedly caused the death of Umaru, on the 20th January, 2023, by 8:00pm.
The accused allegedly stabbed his victim with a knife for shining a torch on the his mother.
He narrated to NEWS PLATFORM that the deceased shone a torch on his mother who was together with other women.
He said that it was as result of the deceased’s action that they started exchanging words which degenerated into a quarrel.
He alleged that it was the deceased who started beating him, and that on his part, he used a knife in his possession and stabbed him at the back to death.
Joggi, was among several other suspects paraded by the Commissioner of Police, SK Akande, at the police headquarters on Thursday, last week.
While parading the suspects, the Police Boss vowed to ensure their prosecution so as to serve as deterrence to others.
