The Federal Ministry of Women Affairs in collaboration with the African Development Bank (AFDB) sensitized key stakeholders on National Gender Policy.
Speaking at the inauguration of the two days dissemination and sensitization workshop in Yola, the Minister for Women Affairs, Dame Pauline K Tallen said, its time for Nigerians to under that the fight against gender equality is for everyone.
The Minister who was represented by Friya Bulus pointed that laws on Gender is also protecting the males not only females, hence the need for all to contribute toward achieving the objective of the policy in the state and country at large.
Lending her voice at the workshop Prof Ann Malgwi who delivered the lecture stated that the workshop is timely.
According to her, the workshop will also enlighten women on gender equality in the society.
Some of the participant applauds the effort of the ministry of women affairs and the AFDB for the timely Sensitization and assured to step down the sensitization to their various communities to help more people under the policy.
