The former Vice President, the present PDP Presidential Candidate, His Excellency Atiku Abukar, the Wiziri Adamawa and his wife have arrived early at 9am to cast their votes at polling unit 012, Ajiya ward in Jimeta, Yola North local government area of Adamawa state.

The the polling unit is peaceful and the voting is seamless. It was gathered that  reporters seemed to be more than the voters with the arrival of the PDP presidential candidate.

Atiku lamented that the ballot papers looked ordinary, he called for improvement. He said
he had issues with his thump print. However, the BVAS addressed the challenge with facial recognition. He commended the cashless policy to curb elections fraud but lamented the severity of the policy on the citizenry.

On a general note, Atiku commended the voting exercise as worthwhile as he was optimistic of victory.

Atiku has not been winning his polling unit since 1999. Some observers conceived that it could be different this time around following the house to house campaign, especially in Atiku’s Ajiya ward, embarked upon separately, by the former Governor Boni Haruna and Hon Commissioner Ibrahim Mijinyawa Yayai, strong PDP members, considered as friends of the citizens.
