Jemgbagh Development Association Gombe State Chapter, has tasked the Benue State Governor-elect, Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia on restoring the state as the nation’s food basket.
The group in a statement in Gombe State yesterday also commended the electorates for voting the cleric whom they believed would reposition the state on stronger and firmer footing.
The statement signed by Jacob Terzungwe the Acting Chairman and Philip Ipavvenda the Public Relations Officer (P.R.O.) partly read: “Father. Your resounding victory is a sign of general acceptance by the Benue masses as the Messiah of the state. As you prepare to take The mantle of leadership of the state, we encourage you to emancipate the Benue people and bring back the lost glory of the state as the food basket of the nation.”
It however added: “We pray the Almighty God gives you the wisdom of King Solomon to address the contending issues that affects the citizens of Benue state at home and in diaspora.
“Jemgbagh Development Association Gombe State Chapter is solidly behind you and will continue to pray for the success of your Administration,” it prayed.
