Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has warned that on no account should stakeholders of the People’s Democratic Party disregard the directive to return home and consult with the people before presenting the list of appointees.

The Governor had during a stakeholders meeting last Wednesday asked that a list of Fifteen to Twenty people capable of becoming the First Eleven be presented from each Local Government after due consultation with their people back home.

He said, “Anything short of the directive to do the right thing amounts to total disregard and disobedience of what was agreed upon. Therefore, any list presented after the outcome of a meeting in Yola, the state capital and not their respective Local Government Areas is unacceptable.”

Rt. Hon. Fintiri described the flagrant disregard to the process as an open contempt to laid down procedure.
The Governor regretted that the desperation of some selfish Politicians is  beginning to manifest and urged them to stand up strongly for democracy, peace and national unity and resist the temptation of doing the wrong thing.
“I must warn that such a list will not be accepted by me as the aim of the directive has been defeated since the people have not been carried along.”

The statement is signed by Humwashi Wonosikou Chief Press Secretary To The Governor of Adamawa State
