POLICE ARREST RADICAL SHILLA BOYS FOR ARMED ROBBERY IN ADAMAWA

The Adamawa State Police Command has apprehended two suspected members of the Shilla cult group who were involved in multiple robbery incidents in and around Yola the capital city of Adamawa State.
The Spokesperson of the command,SP Sulieman Yahaya Nguroje detailed in a press release that the suspect where apprehended on 19th of January 2025,as the Command received a report from a concerned citizen about a robbery incident involving a group of Shilla Boys operating with a tricycle along Yola road. The suspects had robbed one Uba Ibrahim of his iPhone XR at Jippu Jam tall gate. Upon receiving the report, police operatives attached to Karewa Divisional police Headquarters responded swiftly and intercepted the suspects at Malamre Junction.
The suspects: Hamza Ibrahim, 19 years old, of Behind Shopping Complex, Jimeta-Yola North local government area and Abdulkarim Suleiman, 20 years old, of Sengere Samunaka, Yola South local government area.
Nguroje Further detailed that investigation revealed that the suspects had earlier robbed Bello Babangida of his iPhone 7 along the Jimeta-Yola road. Both stolen phones and the tricycle used in committing the crime were recovered at the scene.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, PSC (+), commends the swift response of the police operatives and the cooperation being enjoyed from the public. He further advises citizens to continue supporting the police for effective service delivery.
The police Boss assured the good people of Adamawa State that the suspects will be deligently prosecuted.
