Adamawa Commissioner for Information Receives New Correspondent Chapel Exco

The Commissioner for Information and Strategy in Adamawa State, Iliya James, has received the newly elected executive members of the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Adamawa State Chapter.

During the courtesy visit, NUJ Chairman Ishaka Donald Dedan expressed appreciation for the commissioner’s unwavering support for the state council. He commended James for fostering a positive relationship between the media and the government.

In his remarks, Commissioner James welcomed the chapel’s leadership and urged journalists in the state to uphold professionalism by ensuring factual and accurate reporting.

He encouraged media practitioners to highlight government activities and publicize its achievements responsibly.

James also emphasized the importance of adhering to journalistic ethics, urging reporters to verify their information before dissemination to the public.

Speaking on behalf of the Correspondents’ Chapel, Chairman Ibrahim Kado expressed gratitude to the commissioner and assured him of the chapel’s commitment to working with the government.

He reaffirmed the chapel’s readiness to support developmental initiatives through responsible journalism.
