Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe, representing Adamawa South Senatorial District under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has ruled out any plans to run for governor in the 2027 elections.

Speaking during an interactive session with journalists in Yola, Senator Yaroe made it clear that his political ambition remains in the Senate, where he hopes to return for a third term if supported by his constituents.

“I am not running for Adamawa governor in 2027,” he stated firmly, emphasizing his continued loyalty to the PDP. He added that seeking re-election to the Senate would allow him to deepen his legislative impact and better represent the interests of his people in the southern zone.

Yaroe highlighted his achievements in office, which include sponsoring various bills and delivering grassroots development projects.

He cited medical outreach programs across all nine local government areas in his district, as well as initiatives in agriculture, education, youth and women empowerment through skill acquisition, and the installation of solar-powered boreholes.

The senator also called on the media to support the promotion of good governance in the state and within his constituency.

Responding on behalf of the journalists, Mr. Umar Dankano commended Senator Yaroe for the engagement, describing it as the first of its kind by a lawmaker in the state. He assured the senator of the media’s readiness to support and cooperate on initiatives that benefit the people.
