Adamawa Police Command Launches In-House Refresher Training for Officers

By Ojoma Yusuf,Yola

The Adamawa State Police Command has commenced a comprehensive in-house refresher training program aimed at enhancing the professionalism, discipline, and service delivery of its officers.

The initiative aligns with the vision of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, to build a renewed and reoriented police force capable of meeting modern policing challenges.

The training, which officially kicked off today at the Police Officers Mess in Karewa, Yola, was declared open by the Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris.

The program is structured to cover key areas of policing including police ethics and values, civility in interactions with the public, and maintaining composure under provocation.

According to the Command, the sessions will continue on scheduled dates and are part of broader efforts to reposition the Nigeria Police Force for improved service delivery.

“The Command remains committed to the continuous development of its personnel and the delivery of effective policing services in line with global best practices,” said SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the Police Public Relations Officer, in an official statement.

The refresher training reflects the ongoing reform agenda within the Nigeria Police Force and underscores the importance of continuous capacity building for law enforcement personnel.
