Electricity: NERC Receives customers complains, pledges steady supply

The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has received customers complains and pledged to provide steady power supply.

This was made known at the three-day workshop on customer complaints resolution organized by the NERC in collaboration with National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Yola, Adamawa State.

The three days workshop which is tagged customers rights, obligations and resolutions has settled the long battle existing between the customers and the YEDC.

Dr Shittu Shaibu of the  NERC assured that all the complaints would be look in to and provide effective service delivery for the customers.

He also urged the customers to always do the right thing for successful service delivery by distribution company.

Chief Executive Officer of  YEDC, represented by Sadiq Mohammed, Chief Commercial Officer appealed to customers to patiently use the opportunity and point out all their issues relating to power supply.

According to him, YEDC goal is to totally serve  the people who are their customers.

Some of the customers sharing their pains, complaints bitterly on the epileptic power supply and the sudden hike of the bill.

They also appealed to YEDC to supply electricity constantly as it is their obligations to pay their bills.



The three days workshop had enlightens the customer as they were given ample opportunity to air all their challenges.
