The Mujib Hope Foundation has trained and empowered no fewer than 50 women on skills acquisition and peaceful coexistence in Jambutu community, Yola-North Local Government Area, Adamawa.
Speaking at the empowerment ceremony,
Ms Muniratu Jibrin, the Executive Director, of the Foundation, said the objective of the project was to strengthen family values and to promote peace building to avoid conflict in home for children to grow up with respect, love and shun negative behaviours.
“To also receive training on entrepreneurship on how to start their businesses and use of social media in promoting their businesses.
“If you are in business without wider advertisements you will not reach more people to patronise your products for more profits,” she said.
Jibrin called on the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the starter parks given to them by starting a business and to also step down the training to other people in the family as well as the community.
She appreciated Global Peace Women International for funding the project for the third time.
Jibrin further advised the beneficiaries to take advantage of social media to advertise their businesses for more profits and successes.
Fintana Fedelis, a beneficiary, thanked the foundation for the training, assuring of applying the training in to practice and to step down the training in her community.
Tanyisu Robet, another beneficiary, said she understood how to start business with a little money and grow in the future.
According to her, she also understand the importance of using social media to promote business through Facebook, WhatsApp groups and other social media platforms.
