Adamawa Police Command Marks 70 Years of Women in Policing with Charity Outreach

The Adamawa State Police Command has joined nationwide celebrations marking 70 years of Women in the Nigeria Police Force with a series of charity and community-focused activities held on Monday, 1 December 2025.
As part of the commemorative events, women police officers embarked on community service initiatives across the state.
The activities included environmental sanitation, visits to orphanage homes and social welfare centres, as well as public awareness engagements aimed at strengthening ties with residents.
During their visit to an orphanage, officers were warmly received by excited children who expressed joy at the interaction.
The team offered prayers and presented gifts, creating moments of compassion and connection that underscored the significance of the anniversary.
According to the Command, the outreach highlights the values of empathy, inclusiveness, and service that continue to shape the role of women in Nigeria’s policing landscape.
The initiative, they noted, demonstrates the commitment of women police officers to fostering community trust and delivering people-centred policing.
