The Adamawa State Commissioner of Police, CP Afolabi Babatola on Tuesday presented a cheque amounting to N32,017,640.45 to 53 next of Kins of deceased Police Officers and victims of Accidents on behalf of Inspector-General of Police, Ag.IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetekun.
The Adamawa State Police Command public relations officer , SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje in a statement noted that the Police Boss prayed for the departed souls and equally wished the accident victims speedy recovery.
CP Babatola urges the beneficiaries to judiciously use the money for the upkeep and welfare of their families including Health challenges.
The statement read in parts: “The IGP’s welfare scheme was meant to ameliorate the suffering/ hardship faced by the immediate family of Deceased before the actual benefits of such officers are paid and also to Support the Medical Health Condition of Accident Victims”.
The beneficiaries in response loudly appreciate the Inspector General of Police for the kind gesture as they all promised to judiciously make good use of the money presented to them by the commissioner of police.
