Members of the Nigeria Labour Congress have stormed the streets of Yola express their grievances over the current economic hardship, hunger and insecurity in the state.
They are also protesting the government’s alleged failure to implement agreements reached between both parties on October 2, 2023, following the removal of the fuel subsidy.
The decision followed the conclusion of a 14-day ultimatum issued to the Federal Government to implement measures against the widespread hardship
The NLC members in their numbers stormed the government house and were seen singing and dancing while calling on the government to give listening ears to their demands.
Speaking at the Protest ,Adamawa NLC Chairman Comrd Emmanuel Fashe passed the cry of Adamawa state workers to Governor, He made known to the Governor that the masses are suffering and that they all need the Government to intervene.

Governor Ahmedu Umaru Fintiri in response, appreciates NLC for staging a peaceful and well coordinated protest as he made known to NLC that their message is well received.
The Governor in his remark also appreciates the security agencies for availing themselves to ensure safety during the protest
The Adamawa State Police Command Public Relations Officer SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje while speaking to the press noted that it is expedient that security agencies collaborated to ensure safety for the protester.
The protest is expected to continue tomorrow morning
