Upper area court 3 sitting in Yola has adjourned an allergist case of criminal defamation of character and criminal intimidation filled by Hon Titus Samaila against Mr Dedan Nyari Corlenius a retired parm Sec with the Adamawa state Government to 11 March 24.
The presiding judge Honourable Justice Bello Ismaila Shelleng during his ruling said the Complainant through his council SN Augustine called a total of three witness and tender six exhibits to buttress his case and thereafter closed their case to call on the defendant Mr Dedan Nyari Corlenius who earlier on denied the allegations when the case was mentioned to open his defense.
The Honourable court after examining the witness and exhibits brought before it by Complainant and his council, a Prema fasi case has been establish against the defendant Mr Dedan Nyari Corlenius.
Honourable Justice Bello Ismaila Shelleng Charge the defendant Mr Dedan Nyari Corlenius with two count charges of Criminal intimidation and criminal defamation of character contrary to section 387 and 382.the penal code of Adamawa state laws and punishable under section 378 and 383 of same law. The defendant pleaded not guilty to charges.
Justice Bello Ismaila Shelleng adjourned the case to 11 March 24.
Recall that on 17 July 2023, the defendant Mr Dedan Nyari Corlenius went on Facebook and published an envious publication against Hon Titus Samaila of using his elder brother’s credentials to secure a government job, aim at lowering his estimation before his friends and political associates,
