Engr. Nuhu Pius Badu Celebrates 62, Reflects on Journey and God’s Faithfulness

Pastor and engineer, Engr. Nuhu Pius Badu, has marked his 62nd birthday with gratitude to God, family and colleagues, reflecting on what he described as a life shaped by grace, perseverance and service.
Badu, who hails from Ungwan Kagoro near St. Peter’s Primary School in Gidan Waya, Kaura Local Government Area of southern Kaduna State, said the milestone is more than a celebration of age.
“My life has been an interesting journey. I know how I started, my struggles, and where I am today is basically the grace of God. I have experienced the hand of God in no small way, and this is a season I must recount His faithfulness,” he said.
According to him, turning 62 represents not just the addition of another year but a celebration of greatness and divine faithfulness throughout his life.
The engineer, who has worked in various government establishments, said he has contributed his quota to the growth and development of the institutions he served. He expressed deep appreciation to his wife, Mrs. Victoria Anna A. Badu, his children and grandchildren, as well as extended family members, friends, colleagues and fellow pastors for their support over the years.
“Your support and encouragement have brought me this far, and I must applaud you all for being part of my success story,” he added.
Engr. Badu began his educational journey at L.E.A Primary School, Gidan Waya (1971–1977), before attending Government Secondary School, Makarfi, Zaria (1977–1982). He proceeded to the College of Advanced Studies, Zaria (1982–1984).
He later earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Water Resources and Environmental Engineering from Ahmadu Bello University (1984–1988). He obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science and a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Civil Engineering (Water Resources) from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University between 1999 and 2008.
He is currently pursuing a PhD in Soil and Water Engineering at Modibbo Adama University, a programme he began in 2022.
Engr. Badu is a registered engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE). He is also affiliated with several professional bodies, including the Nigerian National Committee on Irrigation and Drainage, the Nigerian Subcommittee on Dams and Reservoirs, the International Network of Small Hydro Power, the Nigerian Institute of Civil Engineers and the Nigerian Institute of Water Engineers.
As he celebrates his 62nd birthday, Badu said his focus remains on service to humanity, professional excellence and continued faith in God.
