Union Hails Leneke’s Appointment, Commends Governor Fintiri

The Nigeria Union of Journalists has congratulated the newly inaugurated Commissioner of the Ministry of Information and Strategy in Adamawa State, Barrister Leader Leneke, on his appointment by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
In a press statement signed by the Council Chairman, Comrade Abdullahi Ibrahim, and Secretary, Comrade Kissinger Bukar, the union described Leneke’s appointment as a well-deserved recognition of his experience, dedication, and commitment to public service.
The council noted that the appointment reflected the confidence reposed in the new commissioner’s ability to advance the state’s information and communication agenda.
According to the statement, the NUJ expressed optimism that the Ministry of Information and Strategy would witness significant progress under Leneke’s leadership, particularly in strengthening government-media relations, promoting transparency, and improving the dissemination of government policies and programmes to residents of the state.
The union also commended Governor Fintiri for what it described as his commitment to appointing competent individuals into strategic positions for the development of the state.
The council further assured the commissioner of its support and cooperation in promoting professionalism in journalism and ensuring the dissemination of credible information in the public interest.
The statement concluded with prayers for God’s guidance, wisdom, and success for the new commissioner as he assumes office.
