Some residents of Yola the Adamawa state capital trooped to the YEDC operations office in Jimeta to protest the poor power supply and exorbitant bills most especially during the just concluded fasting period of Ramadan.
According to Malam Yahaya Abubakar who resides in angwan shinko, he believes payment of 30,000 monthly is unjust especially when majority of the time no power is available.
Other residents complained that power is only available once a week while other days they are left in darkenss
As at the time of filing this report, no YEDC staff was on ground to respond.
Meanwhile,, security agencies have maned the entrance of the building to restrain movement and to forestall the breakdown of law and order.
