Adamawa Police to Conduct One-Week Shooting Range Exercise

The Adamawa State Police Command has announced plans to conduct a one-week shooting range exercise as part of preparations for the Biennial Police Games, Asaba 2026.
According to a statement issued on Tuesday by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the training will take place at the Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU) Base along Mubi Road in Girei Local Government Area.
Residents in and around NAS Radio Station, Sangere (FUTY), Federal Housing Estate, Hayin Gada, and neighbouring communities have been advised to stay away from the vicinity during the period of the exercise.
The police also urged members of the public not to panic at the sound of gunshots, noting that the noises will be part of a planned and controlled training activity.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Dankombo Morris, expressed appreciation to the people of Adamawa State for their understanding and cooperation, while reaffirming the Command’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property across the state.
The exercise is scheduled to run from
January 21 to January 29, 2026, between 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. daily.
